Dear Patient,

Our center has an open type MRI, dedicated to stressed people.

It makes it easier to get an MRI when you’re claustrophobic. It allows many of our patients to overcome the fear of MRI.

 

No tunneling or patient closure.

You are in control at all times. You are in bed, free at any time and free to interrupt the exam at any time. You are free not to take the exam after seeing the machine.

Except for head examination, your head is outside the machine at all times

For all types of exams you can freely look aside. No physical barrier is present. It is therefore open to 300 degrees. Just one side holds the structure.

Open MRI is:

• Ideal for claustrophobic patients.
• Can be applied to children
• The patient can be accompanied

The most frequent pathologies:

• Back pain. Diagnosis of hernia 
• Gynecological diagnosis: exclude endometriosis, characterize an ovarian cyst or explain abnormal uterine bleeding (adenomyosis)
• Joint pain (knee, shoulder)
• Headache

MRI makes it possible to see tissues such as muscles, fat, blood vessels, ligaments and joints in an exceptional way.

Our MRI does not allow us to see the pathologies related to the lungs and the Intestine.

L’IRM peut être effectuée pour un trouble lié à une maladie ou suite à un accident.

Elle est opérée par 4 radiologues experts. Ce sont eux même qui effectue directement l’examen et qui vous surveille durant tout l’examen.Elle est remboursée par l’assurance de base.

La technique d’IRM n’est pas irradiante, donc pas nocive à la santé. Les risques sont bien moindres que la réalisation d’un scanner (rayons X). IL se peut que l’on doive injecter du produit de contraste mais ceci est plutôt l’exception.

Attention si vous posséder du métal (pacemaker ou broche suite a une opération osseuse). Il faudra le dire au médecin radiologue.

Comment se déroule / passe une IRM ouverte dans la pratique ?

You let us know if you are stressed and special attention is given to you by our trained team. We also make sure that there is no tale indication. The duration of the exam is 20 to 30 minutes. The examination generates a lot of noise, which is why the radiologist offers headphones with music. You are at all times under the supervision of the radiologist.
